Recommend GiffGaff Plans
Add GiffGaff to our list of recommended providers, so users can view see how much it would cost them if they switched to GiffGaff.
They are techinically PAYG – so we dont’ include them currently. However, we are aware that it works similar to contract payments and are looking into how we might include them in future.

This would be great this gives us more options. They should be included.

My average use:
129min, 104 txt & 270mb data, plus £3.10 in premium calls.Billmonitor recommendeds O2 simplicity:
300min, unlim txt & 500mb data - £16.50pm - 12 month contractBut GiffGaff goodybag:
250min, unlim txt & unlim data - £10pm - 1 monthCalling premium numbers varies, but isn't always more expensive on GiffGaff.
MMS and going over your tarrif & calling mobiles or landlines is cheaper.
Roaming is cheaper for short calls (<3 min), although data roming is more expensive (assuming "O2 travel").The main difference is that on GiffGaff you have to top up before using a service that your tariff doesn't cover... for me this is a positive thing as I won't be able to call a premium number by accident!

GiffGaff does not provide itemised bills so you can no longer analyse usage for people who switch to them. But their tariff is public so why can't you include them in the comparisons?
It would be a dreadful pity if Billmonitor turns out not to be recommending the cheapest option after all.

Yes it would be great to have GiffGaff as part of the billing monitor analyst options.

I agree with Jonw. I've in the past been with O2 and Orange on quite high contracts but realised that it works out cheaper to buy a phone and then use a payg sim like giffgaff with their goodybags. The bonus of payback scheme for helping on the forums and affiliate scheme, such as my link is http://bit.ly/freeggsim these along with 3 month unlimited calls and texts to others on the same network makes giffgaff my first choice and I recommend it my friends and family.

GiffGaff offers monthly bundles which operate a little bit like a monthly contract... however the idea is they're optional and you can change them every month. I think these might be the best value for me.... it's a shame they're not compared with the monthly contract here.
