Recommend Pay As You Go (PAYG) Tariffs
I don't use my mobile phone much (probably about 60 minutes and 60 txts pm). If the site compared pay as you go tariffs as well as monthly ones it would be 10x more useful for people like me.

My wife has a SIM only contract which is not given as an option to reduce monthly/annual bills. I think it should be as this contract works well for low or medium usage. Should usage increase then the contract cost increases accordingly.

If I am billed monthly and O2 takes Direct Debits from my Bank account but still adds charges on top for text messages I think I have a pay monthly SIM Contract! I think some thing is wrong as my card works in all my phones Apple or Android. PAYG ? Work it out

A contract would be £7+ per month for my usage. PAYG using standard rates (no bundles) is more like £1 on the cheapest provider and even with an expensive provide still slightly cheaper than a contract/bundle at £6.

It would be nice to compare pay as you go.
I know this site wants to see how it does, but putting it as pay as you go too, this will widen your website more and will get a lot more feedback.
I run out of texts on "unlimited" which is stupid and having to have 3 tariffs and still get no calls other than 10 o2 number only. -

£5bn wasted on contracts, guess at least another £5bn wasted because not on PAYG . Perhaps shouldn't push that idea as Vodafone pay me a healthy dividend

At the moment I'm on PAYG with Orange - the dophin package. It would be ever so useful to compare PAYG tariffs as I keep running out of my 600 free texts when I top up £20.00.
It would be very helpful for me to compare tariffs so I can get something like 400 more text for a similar price with a different company. As PAYG and contract are the two ways to buy airtime and texts nowadays, it only seems right to compare both types of tariff. PAYG needs more votes!

Great to be able to make comparisons like this. Told all my friends and family. We will cut down on costs without a doubt.

If you're paying £30 a month, I am quite sure that a 30 day SIM only deal would cost you less without tying you into a contract! While we can't compare them automatically, use the billmonitor calculator to investigate - hopefully we can save you some cash.

I'm really keen to compare my Orange PAYG as I seem to be paying more every month, I'm currently paying at least £30 a month mainly on texting and would love to pay a set fee every month with free texts so that if I use more I don't pay extra as part of a package. Plus it would enable me to see whether my current PAYG phone is cheaper than a contract or not.

I stay on my 30 day sim only O2 tariff because my daughters are on the same network and have "unlimited O2 to O2" as their free bolt-on. But I am thinking to ask them to look at a new company that is very reasonably priced and which works on the O2 network, called giigaff. We would all be better off but they might not want to change.

I currently pay £10/month with vodafone PAYG, but using your calculator, the best price is £24 also with vodafone. I do make more international than local calls. Not very useful for me.

I agree. I hope that bill monitor introduces this enhancement before I need to make my decision when my present contract expires in May 2011?

I mainly use my phone for international calls texts and currently pay about £30/month on PAYG, but using your calcualator the best pay monthly tariff for me would be £79/month! So a facility which included PAYG tariffs in comparisons would be much more useful.

Yes i agree, i have an O2 payg account because i didn't pass the credit check for a mthly one, i tried 4 different companies. Sucks!
I really want to know if O2 payg is bettter than Vodafone or Orange et al. So come on Billmonitor, do as we ask and get a PAYG comparison up and running. By the way WHich? on-line are running one just now if anyone wants to leave this mob and migrate to them!
