  1. Invest in some search engine optimisation and promotion

I had no ideas that you guys existed by the service you offer is great. Despite doing a number of searches on Google using terms such as 'mobile phone tariff chooser' or 'mobile phone bill analyser' you don't appear anywhere. You've really to to start getting yourself out there!

They are techinically PAYG – so we dont’ include them currently. However, we are aware that it works similar to contract payments and are looking into how we might include them in future.

  4. Take within-network minutes into consideration

I may spend 500 minutes a month calling three people, and only 50 minutes calling others. And so, unlimited 3 to 3 calls and 100 mins a month would be perfect (and cheaper), rather than 700 any network minutes. So I think that should be taken into consideration.

You could also analyse phone numbers called, and look up their network, to get that info.

  5. You should consider buying the phone separately, then a SIM only contract.

Buying an iPhone handset alone (with a network), then getting a £10 sim might actually better deal for some people (as an example). I'd like to see it considered.

  6. By showing an estimated time of completion for bill analysing.

When you click analyse my bills there is no indication of how long it should take and it would be helpful if there was.

  8. be more up to date with your 3 tariffs

I used the bill monitor to see if I could get a better deal for the upgrade phone I want - the HTC Desire. The calculator comes back with a basic contract of £20 but when you click the select link taking you to Three's website it shows a rate f £32 per month

  9. Fix the handling of inclusive data on Vodafone tariffs

The system is recommending that I take a data bundle on tariffs that already include an adequate data bundle. If my usage for the past three months averages at 150MBytes and never exceeds 500MBytes, a tariff that includes 500MBytes of data is clearly adequate.

  10. Correct inaccurate data about iPhone on O2

I was on an 18 month O2 iPhone contract at £35 per month. Your database shows my current usage on O2 would cost £73.23 per month!

When I looked closer it was because you were charging £30.60 per month for data usage. This is inaccurate as O2 are currently offering unlimited data usage. This is unfairly skewing the results and pushing O2 down the results table.

    Please correct.

  11. Allow users to specify usage when you can't read it from their on-line billing

On my assessment, it says "T-Mobile doesn't report data usage for unlimited plans. If you use a lot of data, be sure to choose a plan with a data bundle." All the plans it suggests are without data.

It would be good if I could select my data usage and have it cacluate plans with that usage included.

  12. fix three's International Saver bundle calculation

I typed in 400 Minutes to Europe and Three was way more expensive (£200ish). I'm currently with three and I get these 400 minutes for £15 because I have International Saver, a bundle you say you support!

  13. indicate if unlimited data covers using the phone as a modem

I connect my mobile to my laptop via bluetooth and then I can get any network services, i.e. email and www. My provider seem to "allow" this to happen and it is a major saving as I do not need to pay for a dongle or additional extras but a colleague of mine cannot do this. I think having this capability is a big plus point if data and mobility are important to you and after all data is data so why should it mater what the originating device is or whether you are after email or the internet?

Including information about whether a network allows tethering or not is a great idea. We’ll definitely be looking into this and how to inform you in the best way possible.

  14. Add Family/Friends on Same network effect

several networks offer benefits for same network users
eg O2 give users on same network free calls.
Orange offer a Magic No per 6 months

When reporting best plans, these need to be included in the assessment comment.. so users can assess impact./choose lower total mins.

  17. Parse online billing data for current plan and add-ons

On Vodafone, it should be possible to parse the summary page of the most recent bill on online billing for the user's current price plan and add-ons. Hopefully it is possible to do the same on other networks.

This could be used to highlight the current price plan in the results as well as giving the savings per month on potentially cheaper plans.

Though it would probably be hard to code reliably, it may also be possible to recognise discounts the customer already has - for example, I have the £5/month data bundle on my SIM Only Vodafone contract. The…

  18. Exclude free services when checking online billing

The online bill checker appears to be counting Vodafone's 44555 (balance enquiry) and possibly 5555 (Vodafone Passport enquiry and sign up) as premium minutes. These, and any similar services, should be ignored.

  19. help me to choose my contract based on signal strength

For people who live outside cities, signal strength can be a deciding factor in choosing a contract. Could BillMonitor search according to this somehow?
